to whom it may concern/ dear loved one,
i am scheduled to undergo brain surgery at UCSF hospital on March 25th, 2009. My surgeons are Dr. Berger and Dr. McDermott- I benefit from two experts working at once to saw my skull open and take out what they find inside that they don’t think is good for me- i leave this up to their judgement.
the past six months i have searched for the right doctor to help me through this, and i believe strongly that Drs. Berger and McDermott are as near to ideal as may be found in the western united states at this time.
craniotomy is an intimidating procedure, and while it is not my first, i sincerely desire it will be my last. the expected full recovery time is eight weeks. i will spend time with loved ones, jigsaw puzzles, and art projects until it is time to go mia’s graduation!!!!

Like the Blog you put together and love some of the emotional sincerity and intensity that comes from even some of the simple things. I like knowing that I have cancer. Without knowing I have no real way to fight it… So, keep fighting! We plan to keep fighting with you – 20-100 years from now. (PS – May need to change the date for your surgery though.)
Are commitment is with you.
You friend, John
Oops. Needed to check my grammar – sorry about that.
